Description
Workers' compensation; employer's lien; third party actions. Requires that the Workers' Compensation Commission and the injured employee approve of any arbitration, including any associated with the employer's lien. The measure also prohibits an employer from initiating a proceeding to recover its lien against any party other than an employee without prior notice to the Commission and the injured employee. In any such proceeding, the injured employee or the personal representative or dependents of the deceased employee shall be permitted to intervene as a matter of right. Read the Bill »
