Description
Use of unmanned aircraft system to trespass; peeping into dwelling or occupied building; penalty. Punishes as a Class 1 misdemeanor the use of an unmanned aircraft system to trespass upon the property of another for the purpose of secretly or furtively peeping, spying, or attempting to peep or spy into a dwelling or occupied building located on such property. BILL PASSED THE HOUSE FEBRUARY 2, SUBSEQUENTLY PASSED THE SENATE WITH AN AMENDMENT WHICH IS BEFORE THE BODY.

I support this bill. Drones are increasingly becoming a nuisance, and represent a clear threat to privacy. This bill is an important step at curbing blatant privacy violations.
