PRESIDENT. MR. PRESIDENT, I ALSO RISE TO INTRODUCE SOMEONE WHO I CALL A CLOSE FRIEND. IN POLITICS WE TRAVEL OUR DISTRICTS AND MANY TIMES WE GET TO MEET PEOPLE AND SOMETIMES IT IS ONLY FOR AN INSTANT BUT THEY MAKE AN IMPRESSION FOR A LIFETIME. OTHER TIMES YOU GET TO MEET THEM AND AT THAT INSTANT YOU ARE SO IMPRESSED WITH THEM AND WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY DO THAT THEY BECOME FRIENDS FOR A LIFETIME. THIS GENTLEMAN IS A FRIEND FOR A LIFETIME AND SOMEONE I ADMIRE GREATLY. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN OF THE SENATE, MY FRIEND CHAD MARTIN IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE GREATEST ADVOCATE IN MY AREA FOR THE POOR, THE DOWN TRODDEN, THOSE SEEKING HELP, HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE AT GREAT SACRIFICE OF HIS TIME AND GREAT SACRIFICE OF HIS EMOTION WHEN HE COULD HAVE BEEN DOING SOMETHING ELSE.
