Description

Alcoholic beverage control; availability of food when spirits served. Directs the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to promulgate regulations that require mixed beverage licensees to have food, cooked or prepared on the licensed premises, available for on-premises consumption whenever spirits are sold or served. The bill requires that such food be available in all areas of the licensed premises in which spirits are sold or served.

SPEAKER, SENATE BILL 1075 IS SIMILAR TO MY HOUSE BILL 2148 WHICH REQUIRES VETERANS SERVICES FOUNDATION TO PROVIDE AN ANNUAL REPORT ON ITS FUNDING LEVELS AND SERVICES TO GENERAL ASSEMBLY. IT ALSO AUTHORIZES THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IN THE FOUNDATION TO APPOINT AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND EXERCISE PERSONNEL AUTHORITY OVER THAT POSITION AND CLARIFIES THAT THE FOUNDATION MAY MAKE DIRECT REQUESTS FOR APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
