Description

Absentee voting; eligibility of any registered voter. Allows any registered voter to vote by absentee ballot in any election in which he is qualified to vote. The bill removes the current list of statutory reasons for which a person may be entitled to vote by absentee ballot but retains the requirement to apply to vote absentee. The bill contains numerous technical amendments that consolidate existing provisions relating to absentee voting by uniformed and overseas voters and absentee voting by persons with a disability. Amends § 24.2-1004, § 24.2-452, § 24.2-612, § 24.2-700, § 24.2-701, § 24.2-706, § 24.2-709, of the Code of Virginia. Read the Bill »
