Description

Local authority; distracted driving. Authorizes any local governing body to adopt an ordinance prohibiting any person from driving a vehicle on any highway within the locality while failing to provide proper time and attention necessary for the safe operation of the vehicle where the manner of driving does not constitute reckless or improper driving. The bill provides that a violation of any such ordinance is punishable as a traffic infraction with a fine of not more than $300. Read the Bill »
