Description

Issuance of licenses, permits, and special identification cards to certain aliens. Authorizes the Department of Motor Vehicles to issue temporary driver's licenses, permits, and special identification cards to aliens granted "withholding of removal" immigration status. The ACLU of Virginia supports this legislation that would make us all safer by allowing all Virginia residents to obtain legal authorization to drive on our streets and highways, regardless of immigration status.

I do not support this bill. Drivers licences are used as valid id's to VOTE and in some states automatically puts illegals on the voter rolls among others things. Licenses should be available for American citizens not for illegals and their families.
