Description

Study; JLARC; increasing hazardous duty retirement benefits for certain categories of law-enforcement officers; report. Directs the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission (JLARC) to study the impact, feasibility, scope, and cost of increasing hazardous duty retirement benefits for certain members of the Virginia Law Officers' Retirement System. In its study, JLARC is directed to examine increasing such benefits for Capitol Police officers, campus police officers, conservation police officers in the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, and several other categories of law-enforcement officers.
