Description
Cigarette tax; counties authorized to hold referendum. Authorizes the board of supervisors of any county to levy a tax on the sale or use of cigarettes if approved in a referendum. If approved, the tax shall not exceed five cents ($0.05) or the amount levied under state law, whichever is greater. Read the Bill »
