Description

Disposition of unclaimed dead body; final orders of transportation and disposition. Provides that in cases in which a county or city attorney or the attorney for the Commonwealth for a county or city requests an order for transportation and disposition of an unclaimed dead body, the attorney shall do so forthwith and without delay and shall request that the order be entered by the court within one business day. The bill also provides that the request shall include instructions for the transportation and disposition of the unclaimed dead body and that the final order may direct the clerk to provide a copy of the final order to the attorney who has submitted the request.
