Description

Shooting trespassing dogs; penalty. Raises from a Class 1 misdemeanor to a Class 6 felony the penalty for a person who shoots and kills a dog owned by another when such dog is not injuring or threatening any person or companion animal and holds the shooter liable to the owner for the value of the dog and any veterinarian bills incurred as a result of the shooting. Amends § 3.2-6570, of the Code of Virginia. Read the Bill »
