Description

Special volunteer license for limited practice. Provides that any qualified practitioner of the healing arts or other profession regulated by the Board of Medicine who does not regularly practice his profession in Virginia and who holds a current valid license or certificate to practice his profession in another state, territory, district, or possession of the United States may be issued a special volunteer license to render free health care in conjunction with a publicly supported, all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that sponsors the provision of health care to underserved populations in Virginia, subject to conditions set out in the bill. The bill directs the Board to promulgate regulations to implement the special volunteer license. Amends § 54.1-2901, of the Code of Virginia. Read the Bill »
