Description
Health insurance; coverage for Lyme disease therapy. Requires health insurers, corporations providing health care coverage subscription contracts, and health maintenance organizations, whose policy, contract, or plan includes coverage for prescription drugs, to provide coverage for long-term antibiotic therapy for a patient with Lyme disease when determined to be medically necessary and ordered by a licensed physician after making a thorough evaluation of the patient's symptoms, diagnostic test results, or response to treatment. The measure applies to policies, contracts, and plans delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed on or after January 1, 2020. Read the Bill »
