Payment of wages. Removes the exemptions for newsboys, shoe-shine boys, ushers, doormen, concession attendants, and theater cashiers from coverage under the Virginia Minimum Wage Act (the Act). The measure limits the Act's exemption for babysitters to babysitters not employed more than 10 hours per week. The measure eliminates the Act's exemption for persons employed by an employer that has fewer than four employees at any one time. Amends § 40.1-28.9, of the Code of Virginia. Read the Bill »
