A BILL to amend and reenact § 36-48.1 of the Code of Virginia, relating to creation of conservation areas.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 36-48.1 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 36-48.1. Creation of conservation areas.

A conservation area as defined in § 36-3 may be created by a planning commission or an authority as provided in this chapter and a conservation plan may be adopted to provide for the conservation, rehabilitation, and revitalization of such conservation area. The conservation plan shall (i) outline specific boundaries for the conservation area, (ii) be adopted in accordance with § 36-49.1, and (iii) satisfy the requirements as set forth in § 36-51.1.
