Description

Virginia Residential Landlord and Tenant Act; tenant's right of redemption. Provides that a tenant may have an unlawful detainer dismissed if the tenant pays all amounts claimed on the summons in unlawful detainer to the landlord, the landlord's attorney, or the court no less than two days before a writ of eviction is delivered to be executed. This bill is a recommendation of the Virginia Housing Commission. Amends § 55-248.34:1, of the Code of Virginia. Read the Bill »
