Description
Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Fund; Powhatan County. Directs the Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission to distribute moneys from the Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Fund for (i) the stimulation of economic growth and development in tobacco-dependent communities in Powhatan County and (ii) scientific research performed at one of the Commonwealth's National Cancer Institute-designated research institutes designed to advance the treatment and prevention of cancers that directly impact the citizens of tobacco-dependent communities in Powhatan County. Currently, such moneys are distributed for such purposes only in tobacco-dependent communities in the Southside and Southwest regions. Read the Bill »
