Description
Pensions; hazardous duty pay. Provides that service in the Fire and Rescue Department of the Virginia Air National Guard shall be treated as service in a hazardous position for purposes of the hazardous duty supplement or increased retirement multiplier in the State Police Officers' Retirement System, in the Virginia Law Officers' Retirement System, or as a local law-enforcement officer eligible for similar benefits. The bill applies to creditable service earned before July 1, 2022, but only allows additional benefits to be paid prospectively. Read the Bill »
