Comments

Lou Di Leonardo writes:

You vote in person at the poll you live near or you do not vote...unless you are a military member out-of-country. In 2020, we witnessed long lines of masked people waiting to cast early ballots. Why couldn't those people have gone to their polling site on election day and wait in line, if need be?

Brenda O Mead writes:

VOTE NO ON THIS BILL!

Drop off locations make it easier to vote!
Restricting voting locations disenfranchises those whose hours or work location make it difficult to go to polling sites on election day,
There is no data that supports any contention that drop off locations result in voter fraud!

Ian Springer-Woods writes:

We just finished one of the most secure and free elections in Virginia's history. The end result is that Republicans won seats. Why is it, then, that the first thing Republicans do when they take power is try to make it harder for those with the least means to vote? voting is a right that should be not only secure, but also free and easy. Our current voting laws make voting accessible to everyone. This bill does not solve any problems. This bill, and all others like it, are anti-democracy bills that should be dropped before they even hit committee.

Lynda Hilliard writes:

Drop off boxes maje it easier for disabled people to vote. There is no need to change any of the voting laws. There was no fraud. VOTE NO.

Donna Marino writes:

In states that have early voting I highly recommend it! I didn't discover that Virginia allows early voting until AFTER I retired. Believe me I would have voted early for years had I known rather than make to get to my polling place before going to work, or worry that I may not be able to get home to vote before the polls closed. Why wouldn't everyone vote early if they could? No waiting in line, no last minute concern you can't get there to vote! Every citizen that is registered to vote should always vote - either by absentee ballot if you are not able to vote in person or drop off your absentee ballot at a drop box. Every vote in every election is important. We should all proudly use our right that we have all been given as a Democratic society to take advantage of this privilege and use our voice by voting for the individuals we believe will keep us a free and safe Democracy.
