Description

Sexual battery; clergy; penalty. Expands the offense of sexual battery to include sexual abuse of a complaining witness committed by an accused who was, at the time of the offense, a member of the clergy or similar functionary of a religious organization in a position of trust or authority over the complaining witness, while the complaining witness was 18 years of age or older and under the spiritual care of the accused.
